A RIP (Radically Invasive Projectile) lőszer reklámkampánya még a magyar bulvármédiát is megmozgatta. A gyártó forradalmian új lőszert ígért, mely CNC-vel előre elkészített szirmainak leszakadásával a fő sebcsatornából kiinduló 8 különálló, oldalirányú sebcsatornával fokozza a vérveszteséget és szövetroncsolást.
A méregdrága (2-3 dollár/db) lőszer marketingje remek volt, de sokakban felmerültek komoly kétségek a valós hatékonysággal (behatolási mélység ruházatban például) és a fura alakú lőszer csőretöltési megbízhatóságával kapcsolatban.
A TFB híre alapján azonban független tesztelő is végzett egy videóval dokumentált tesztet, melyen a RIP muníció csúnyán leszerepelt. A sebcsatorna kisebb volt, mint egy hagyományos JHP esetében, és Glock 19-ben csőretöltési hibát is produkált.
